I have a 2400 mopar sztall, about 8k on it (then he went to 3500 Viper stall). I'd let it go for 150 shipped.

For gears, on an R/T 4.10s are like a tenth or so, because you already have 3.92s. If upgrading, do 4.56s (4.30s would be the spot, but there are none except like two pilot pars floating around).

4.56's work good with a 28" tire(et street or slick) 4.10 is really a waste of time on an R/T as they already have 3.92's from the factory.
You can't just through on a stall converter,it depends on your cam and mods to the motor. If you are running a stock cam with minor bolt on's I wouldn't go higher than a 2,800 stall converter. Also I wouldn't run the MP converter either there converters don't usually stall as much as they claim(ask marty ask KRC about MP converters ) APS or Viper is the way I would go but you should have a shift kit before or when you install a stall converter.

2,800-3,000 stall max for your set-up,I strongly recomend a viper converter also. They are hands down the best converter for our trucks, just check my ET and all the ET's ran by KRC powered trucks

I ran the same time as you on one of those crappy 2400s with a SLIPPING stock tranny, stock heads, cam, boltons, and 150 shot. Hehe. (Had stock RRs, stock injector, full weight plus some extra weight added on, worn out DRs with a 1.9 60 ft (also had to do with slipping trans), etc.)

I have stock heads also, that's why i am wondering what kind of times i should be running. with my stock gears and converter. but if i change them out i can probably run pretty decent, shouldn't i.

A stall converter will help you cause they don't have as much slip as a stocker and they have more torque multiplication(viper is 2.5:1)Even if you decide on a MP converter it will be better than the stocker. With the way you are modding your truck a cam is in your future. So I would go around 2,800 because the point of a stall veretr is to get you into your powerband at launch.
