All 5.3's have cast iron blocks no matter what year...unless you get the HO 5.3 option. You could only get them on extended cab 4X4 trucks.

theres no way a ecsb silverado is ONLY 100 lbs heavier than an ecsb dakota...

maybe my truck is fat and heavy then because i have weighed my standard cab R/T and it was 4788
