Went to the track yesterday and ran an 11.8@112.

Got one run in.

22" inch rims
5200lb race weight
13-14 degrees of timing at WOT

I think low 11's are possible with better weather.

Thanks!

IATs were 150 at the beginning of the run, crept passed 200 at the end. I was in the staging lanes for almost 2 hours, tons of heat soak, and ambient temps were about 90. Sucked!!

I finally made it back to the track - full weight, 22's, tailgate, etc.

11.34@118 w 1.68 60'

MPH is down because I left it in 4H the whole run.

The second run I added 4-5 degrees on the launch (about 21 from 2000-3200). It spun the tires and....

Bad news - The 4L80 is stuck in only forward gears, even in reverse and neutral. It only has maybe 3-4k miles and maybe 15 passes. Time to figure that out and go from there. I think I'm remember why I stopped going to the track!! Haha

Finally got the trans out, going to send to RPM and do a Level 5 upgrade. Hoping it holds up.

I got a 109mm Whipple TB on the way, and going to do a 4.5" intake. Have to come up with a remote IAC valve set up, as there is no passage in the Whipple TB. Also got some larger injectors, 127#. I'm going to lower fuel pressure, and see how far the Walbro 450 and BAP will take me.

I plan to hit the track once more, see if I can get a 10.9X on the 22' wheels. Then upgrading to a 10 rib and will find out how much this junkyard 6L with take! Haha

Love it!

Interesting there is no IAC on that tb. Thats a bump in the road I didnt see coming.

As for the intake, be careful putting a sharp bend in front of the TB. It will choke the blower as you start to flow a ton of air. I have thought about 3D pringint a "hydroformed" piece that will maintain the same volume through the bend bringing the inner radius and outer radius closer together in an effort to keep air velocity consistent despite having a very sharp bend.

Thanks!

I don't think it will be too bad. FAST makes this, which should make it pretty easy.
Remote Mount IAC Fuelairspark.com

I plan to run this elbow, hoping it will be alright.

Silicone 90

I'm also thinking of converting from an EFILive COS to HPT so I can run a flex fuel and 2 bar COSwith an 80E. EFILive does not have a COS for the 02 GM flex fuel OS. Either that or upgrade to the P59 PCM (green/blue), repin some of the harness, and use EFILive COS.
