This is why WFH does not work for me.
Is the meth controller in the glove box? If so do you use it for storage? Seems like a mishap waiting to happen with something bumping the adjustment knobs. |
I’m fully taking advantage of it right now haha. It’s the slow time of year for us so figure my team is taking advantage, why can’t I. In about 4wks I won’t have enough time to take a leak much less be outside.
The meth controller is in the glovebox but it’s tucked up in a cubby off to the side so it shouldn’t be a big issue. I don’t keep much stuff in there aside from a tire pressure gauge, owners manual, and my wife’s napkin hoard. |
No judgement here. I am actually posting this while on a half-applicable to me Teams call myself.
Keeping the heavy stuff below the shelf and using the napkin horde to provide cushion should be fine. Just wanted to make sure you pondered the possibility. |
You can see me on a call myself in some of those pics. 2hr calls are boring.
I've way over thought this meth kit installation to the point of having the solenoid and arming switch on their own independent switches as a fail safe. One of the guys testing all this just lost an engine because somehow his meth system started pumping without boost and flooded the crankcase and he got about 5 miles down the road before it seized. That's why I am running the kit on a switch for the arming is because I don't want this thing on unless I'm towing in the summer. I also contemplated designing and printing a mount on the dash to mount the controller on so I could see it but really it should be a set it and forget it type thing and I can just run the remote LED to somewhere in my visual range to monitor the system. |
I don’t even believe this is a real car project. It doesn’t seem like you’ve taken 15 trips to the parts store!
|
I’ll thank Mr bezos for that. Been keeping his yacht fueled with all the random crap I’ve needed. I hate wiring.

Well been waiting on my friend Murphy to stop by and he came right about when I figured. Last nut on the manifold next to the transmission puck stripped its threads right at the end and is now just spinning on the stud. All the rest came right out with zero effort. Awesome.

Now THAT’S a car project!

Now it’s got me paranoid about pulling the oil pan. Toyota’s are notorious for the oil and trans bolts snapping when trying to remove them. And things were moving along so nicely this morning also.
