There is a pretty good size hose that connects them, I would have thought any fuel going into the higher tank would have just ran into the main tank. Well with a full tank and a big old Magna Fuel this did not go as planned

As you found out fuel moves fairly slow through a 1" line under gravity only.

why do you have two tanks? I am sure it is in the thread but didn't see it.

Secondary tank (sits above spare tire) with over 1" hose leading into primary tank. Secondary tank sits higher then primary. In the picture you can see my return hose.

Default Recent updates

Recent additions to the project. It's been awhile since I last posted on here. Been a little busy over the last year, we had a baby and purchased a home. However, I have managed to complete a couple of updates to my project. I started of with a vary mild tune giving me 500hp/500tq to the wheels with 12lbs. After the tuning was done I noticed some areas that needed to be addressed before continuing to the 700hp level. The intercooler was on the small size and temps were increasing a good bit. I fixed that with a huge 4" core that flows extremely well compared to the smaller previous one, I saw an increase of 3lbs of boost over smaller intercooler on same waste gate spring. I upgraded to a chromoly shaft from PST to decrease my odds of busting the stock shaft. I have some more dyno time setup this coming Tuesday and im debating to go SD or MAF. I have a 2.5bar installed and upgraded 3bar OS. Any input would be appreciated. My tuner said he preferred to go MAF for a mostly street driven vehicle.

That thing looks beastly! I'd love to do a big 4x4 turbo setup like that.

Regarding the MAF vs SD, at the 700+ HP level best just to go SD. SD does present its own issues but it's nothing major or really significant. MAF tunes at that level will be band-aided.

If you can do it within the MAF's range use it, but if you max out the MAF at any point then ditch it entirely. I have never seen good things from one of those hybrid type tunes. If he is a good tuner, you will never know the difference in terms of daily driving.

I maxed out my maf with a 5.3 on 10psi with a blower, for what its worth.

I will go in attempting the MAF tune and keep an eye on how close it is to maxing out. Looks like according to ATOMIC it's near its max now. So im guessing this will end up being a SD tune...
