Moved the mighty mouse catch can, hoses worked out nice with a 180 on the fill cap and a 90 at the can. Also added the drain extension hose so it down by the frame rail, way easier to empty now.

Changed the oil from conventional 10w30 joe Gibbs hr to 10-40, oil pressure hot at idle I see 35 and would up almost 60. Also cut open the filter I pulled off and it looks pretty good. It has some dust particles but nothing crazy. So at least that parts food so far. The filter in the pics is still wet so you get glare, now that it's dried it looks much better and easier to see. Cutting the filters open with tin snips , I did see the wix filters have more pieces inside. The wix had a big rubber washer and s spring, the Delco didn't.

Cool to see those pictures. Sounds like the Wix is the winner, huh?

Yea it seems like alot better filter, from looking at it anyway. The wix has a bigger filter area, looks thicker too. I know it was harder to cut and stiffer. The big rubber washer by the threads and the spring I dunno what that's all about. I ended up putting a acdelco 61 on tho because they didn't have the wix in stock. Here's the wix in the pic. From the filter media above to this one you see almost nothing on it, it's really clean....Exactly what I hoped for.

A while back there was a guy on here that posted a bunch of info on Wix filters. He showed that he (Wix) was the MFG for Micro Guard, and for the house brand at Wal-Mart

The NAPA Gold Filter model 1522 is also supposed to be a Wix rebrand of the WIX 51522. That's the longer style filter. So that should be another option.

I come back here every time I’m thinking of ordering upgrades. How's this thing doing?

Sorry i missed this, its apart currently. The trans is getting a few big upgrades, exhaust is getting a makeover and it should be tuned when i get it back. With this all done for sure it will run better and have better drive ability. I'll post more on that tho at a later date when i can give you better details along with pics.
