Will post pics in the am of the swap, hopefully it goes smooth. If so it will be running by noon.

Swap went well this am, all back together and seems to run pretty well.

Lol don't be, I'm not in any kind of competition with anyone. The 1900 worked great and was perfectly fine, i only upgraded since i could sell mine and buy a 2300 a day or 2 later. If i couldn't sell mine i wouldn't of taken it off. What was brought up tho the 2300 with less boost moved more air at a cooler temps.

Not really...you have to talk about speeds with blowers. It'll move the same amount of air at a slower speed (larger pulley). The only advantage is when you really start pushing it in terms of boost (product of speed and airflow) where the smaller blower can't go. At the same boost level, temps and airflow will be basically identical, with only difference being the larger blower is spinning slower requiring slightly less drive power.

I see what your saying, i fixed it for you. Does this sound right....? With spinning the blower that fast it builds heat and timings pulled. Running the 2.6 its past the suggested top speed. So when you push it timings being pulled because of heat wouldn't that lack power..? I think with the 1900 the 2.8 pulley is probably the smallest i would go. The 2300 will be the same way when you get to high speeds but at the same boost yes it spins at speeds not even close to making high heat. Where i was seeing 150s i am now seeing 90s.

Speed doesn't make heat, boost does. Same boost is same heat (ignoring the tiny difference in bearing load). The 2300 may have a larger intercooler though, I'm not sure on that. That would affect heat.

The airflow determines the boost. Speed and blower size determine airflow. Pulley size determines speed.

Blowers are not the same as turbos.

Your last sentence, is that what you've seen between the 1900 and 2300? Same boost?

Yea alot bigger temps for sure, 2.6 pulley had that blower maxed out. That's pushing it hard tho. The 2300 with 12psi did flow more air than the 1900 with 14psi. Not a crazy amount but more.

To drop 20 -25degrees I had to do a bigger intercooler, reservoir and varimax...all that helped alot Getting me 125 or so.

1900 maxed out had the same MAF airflow as the 2300 with a 3.2 pulley. 10750hz range

The hot iats on 1900 where causing boost to raise from the thermal expansion.
