Did a (small) first burnout today.
Just mashed the pedal down in drive, it up shifted to 2nd itself at 6000.
One tire spin down hill, I can't do a proper brake stand with only one foot/leg
Needs a trutrac, linelock and some gears.
Don't know why the HPT scanner stopped recording?

Nice not many go back in the same day where they just raised some kane haha. I see it's still registering KR is it false or not sure yet? What's the AFR and what kinda advance are you seeing at WOT pulls? I can't make em out in my phone reason I'm asking.

Looks like low 20's for timing and maybe a few tiny blips to 1 degree or less of knock. I wouldn't even care if it saw 1 degree, it's not doing any harm when it's that quick and that low. Could be vibrations from the rolling burnout doing it.

I was talking about his 6500 pull video. As far as the KR that's likely I've registered KR on bumps around here were they are doing road work a few times.

That's a road the county paved for Daimler Trucks North America to relocate their offices. They decided to build on another site in the county so the road and land has been abandoned for years. Police agencies around the area block it off for tactical driving training maneuvers. So if the roads good enough for the cops to play on... it' should be good enough for us forgotten tax payers

The A/F was rich during that pull is showing around 12.06 on the scan. So there is more power to be had when I take it to PCM of NC in October. I need to keep my foot out of it until the tune is tweaked.

You'll be surprised sometimes, many trucks will make more torque with a richer fuel mixture. It's just a game you play with the engine to see what works best.

If it's still in the low 12's, let it eat.

Over at the "other" truck forum I got some negative replies on the flat black VHT painted exhaust. It did look kinda dirty like an old stove pipe

So I dug deeeep in the wallet and bought the $10 VHT clear. Thought about shooting them with Imron clear as I have almost a full gallon but I couldn't find any activator

Scuffed with scotch brite, two coats of color and two clear. Now they have a matte gloss and look much cleaner than the flat black. Still thinking about some powdered black tips or maybe even carbon fiber ones.

The tips look much better with the gloss.

Nice! I wouldnt worry about 12s either. I am in the "12.8 max camp" when it comes to boost. My tuner wont let me be 13.00+ NA either (his preference, but he hasnt blown anything up for me, so I trust him). I think low to mid 12s is perfect for a long lasting motor in boost.
