Default Project Ive had superchargers along time and want a Turbo.

Figured I would start a build thread at this point. Parts are still coming in but all is in motion. I am gonna run a Trick T6 setup. Stage 6 Hotside, and 4” race intercooler. Turbo is a Borg Billet S480 T6, 80/92 1.1 AR

I am gonna run a stock TBSS intake for now to help low end. I have a new cam coming as my current 230/242 115 was specd for my old TVS setup and a bit much for this setup and a turbo.

Rick@Trick has been great about helping me sort out a plan, coming from a TVS at high boost I wasn’t gonna be satisfied with a small turbo regardless of response. My choice was what I perceived as a happy medium as I plan for 20-22psi. This isn’t a daily driver, it’s a toy. I built the valvetrain in this motor to spin some rpm so I don’t want something that signs off at 6000rpm.

Much more to follow.

Well it’s running NA on motor at the moment, back to DBW. Here is a quick idle and rev clip. Pretty responsive considering it’s still 100% on my last DBW 16psi tune. Lol.

I didn’t change a damn thing, just loaded the old OS And tune in.

Looking forward to seeing this build. What are the details of the block and heads if you don’t mind?

Add a pressure sensor in the exhaust to monitor turbo drive pressure vs boost vs rpm. That will be very interesting.

I plan to. I was already talking with Rick about that. I am curious as well. I am gonna check numerous other things also. Just for informational knowledge. I did the same with my TVS. I am gonna get it up and running first, then start playing to gain info. I don’t plan to push it harder than 15-16psi this year. I need to convert to 3bar and finish doing my flex fuel conversion.

Well go ahead and drill/tap or weld in a bung for it before you install it. Its a lot easier to do now and just plug it until you are ready than add it later. I give it a month before you upgrade the turbo

To what? I have too much going on this year. It will be next year at the earlierst. Or over winter. Upgrade the turbo or go to a bigger AR?
