i put 38" tires on stock wheels so yes you can run 285s
it wouldnt be huge but it would probably be proportional and you would pick up mpg and speed from the smaller tires |
sweet so what wood you run as far as tires if you were in my shoes under my conditions with the truck cuz u mentioned 38's and thats far from wat my truck can run ahah
|
toyo proxes or proxes ii are cheap and should ride/handle well for you

why?? why drop a 4x4?? unless you're packing a insane 11sec setup where you need the all wheel drive for traction, dont drop a 4x4!!!
Unless you offroad why would you want a jacked 4x4? Give me a break, lowering my Z71 was the best thing next to steak and gravy. I have full use of the 4x4 for severe road conditions and still get over any terrain a 2wd is able to mount. Comfort getting in and out, better handling and way better stability. I see hundreds of lifted trucks in my city, I bet none of them ever see the dirt or mud. To each his own, right? |

Looks good, so what did you use on the front? Spindles and keys? I assume the back is shackles, hangers, and removing the blocks right?

I'll NEVER understand... WHY do people need to ask "Why lower a 4 wheel drive!?"?? The answer: BECAUSE SOMEONE OWNS A 4 WHEEL DRIVE TRUCK AND WANTS TO LOWER IT! It's like someone buys a Blue shirt, and another person doesn't like the color Blue and asks "Why buy a Blue shirt!?". In MY opinion, why NOT lower a 4 wheel drive truck a bit...at least if you're not gonna take it off road and thrash it. They look SICK lowered, they handle better, AND in the snow/ice you can still use the 4 wheel drive! Sorry to rant, but I get sick of people hijacking threads on forums asking the same stupid question! By the way, nice truck!!!
