Yeah I really lucked out. Was not going to pass up the opportunity to work with this new equipment.

Yeah I am guessing that's what the difference was.

Yup as far as the catalog goes, there was only one model for he LS Plates.

Update!

Finally got my pistons and got the block on the boring bar.

One bank done. Getting the other side finished up tonight, and then over to the hone to get finished up.

Update:

Few more pics.

Got the other bank of cylinders bored. Re-installed the main studs, caps, torqued them to spec.

Then got the head studs re-installed and the torque plate bolted down for honing.

All ready for finish honing on Monday.

'Til Monday...

Sweet Steve! Hey, I thought that the torque plate got used for boring and honing, and was even more important during the boring since more material was being removed?

When I bored the block I made two passes on each cylinder, leaving .010'' left to hone out. When I first installed the torque plate I saw that the cylinder bores would vary up to about 0.001'' I left more material in the bores to hone out and just the torque plate then.

Go for a ride in my truck and you'll realize how slow a 362 is and you'll install a stroker rotating assembly right after. Give me the block and you can have my LQ9 shortblock so I can make that nice piece into the stroker it deserves.

Nice progress and detailed pics.

I'm not out to build a race truck. Just want it to be fun. I'm too far into this project to stop now. If I decide to build a stroker in the future, I'll know I have a solid foundation.
