Default My 2010 454 SS SIlverado

Building a 2010 Silverado 1500 2WD, 6 speed 6L80E with Yank 3200 stall converter. LSX 454 almost in, has American Racing headers, dual 3'' exhuast with X pipe and flow master super 40's. Engine has LSXR 102mm intake and Nick Williams 102mm throttle body. FAST LSXR fuel rails and FAST 39lb/hr injectors. Should be a fun ride!!

What were/are your goals? What are you doing to the drivetrain?

Welcome to PT. Hope it turns out to be a beast for you. Not sure if I like your front end treatment, or wheels, or suspension, but maybe you have plans for all that.(please share if you do)

Yes ran into a few extra cost with motor transplant, but im going to lower it and i was thinking those flat black SS Replica wheels you can get. What do you guys think? And how much of a lowering kit should i put in?

I am going to drive this summer with stock drivetrain (See how that goes) and send tranny out or buy replacement this winter, and see about a ready to go complete rear end to put in.

completely blacked out...I love it. and on that truck, it sits really high. I would probably do a 4/6 on it. It will sit nicely over the 22s but not on top of them. I guess it goes back to personal preference. With a 4/6 you'll still have about 3/4" to 1.25" over the wheels

the stock 20" combo from GM comes out to be roughly the same size as 22s with the 305/40/22...if you're lowering it that much, though, you might want to go slightly smaller but you don't have to. Personally I would go with the 305s...but I'm a special case

Love the engine combo, pretty sure your tranny is gonna be in pain after the first couple hard launches though!!
Drop it and new wheels and your good to go. What compression did you go with on the motor? Any more motor specs? Are those injectors gonna be big enough?
