My 07 Chevy RCSB Project

Hey everyone. I've been into racing drag boats most my life but I left that sport a few years back. I've missed speed and since I've always loved these trucks, I decided to build one! I found this beauty at a dealership over 1700 miles from home. They took it in on trade and sold it to me for only 4000 dollars! It was missing a muffler and had ano exhaust leak. Otherwise it was a 7 on the exterior and 8 on the inside. I got it home and started the planning. It had the 4.8 with 4l60e but I wanted more HP. I found an LY6 6.0 with 72k miles on it and I put the Mast Cam ( 218 230 564 600 ) and heavier beehive dual valve springs. Also added an ls3 intake and a set of 1 7/8 Long Tube headers that will flow into true dual 3 inch MagnaFlow exhaust that will exit through the bedsides. Mast motorsports claims that the cam will increase the HP to 505 at the crank and I'm hoping that the other parts will get me up near 530. The motor was finished being assembled today and will go in the truck tomorrow and I'll add more pics then! https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...6aa644980b.jpg

Not a bad score!

What at do you have planned for the transmission?

Well that is my week link at the moment. I have the stock 60E. I haven't been able to make a decision on what I will run long term and since it will only be at 500 hp for now, I think I have time to make up my mind. I need something that will hold up to 1200 hp on a track. Maybe a built 80E?

Man I dunno. I think a 4L60 on 400hp is a time bomb, but that's just one assholes opinion.

80e, TH400, power glide, built tr6060: you have options, but I would start considering them soon. 60s and HP are not friends

Yeah I agree. I have heard of a lot of 60s that live many years behind 600 hp or more. I won't risk it for to long. At the moment the rear end is priority and then Trans.
