I havent seen anyone run aluminum rods on the street at least for very long. Especially to call it a driver.

it all breaks down to what you consider a street car. the way some drive there cars maybe a few times a month they consider street cars but dont put but maybe a couple hundred miles a year. my truck has had a total of less than 1k miles in the last few years. though i wouldnt use aluminum rods since i plan to drive mine a few times a week i with a forged steel i beam good for 1500 hp . i honestly thought the aluminum costs alot more but since you will have to replace them in the not so distant future chances are your going to want to inspect the engine by that time anyway . making that kind of hp for pro longed time is hard on parts reguardless of quality.

How do these aluminum rods compare in weight to say an Eagle H-Beam or a Callie's steal rod?

exactly right about what people consider "street friendly". One major killer for an aluminum rod is not giving sufficient warm up time. The engine has to be at operating temprature before driving, but honestly with the size cams that people are running these days you have to warm it up anyway for the valvesprings to live.

As far as weight goes, these weight in at around 500 grams. A standard steel rod weights in around 600 grams. Needless to say this engine should rev pretty quickly..

Thanks for the cudos guys. I talked to Cary yesterday and I should be getting my intake today as well as my heads. I will get pics up of them as soon as I get them.

alright...well all I can say is Richard, Cary, my hats off to you guys. I feel like I have to put your parts in a display case with a tag that says "DO NOT TOUCH!!". Here are some pics of these works of art:

You can walk into these intake ports:

And now for the bigblock intake....I mean Cary's LXR ported hand finished masterpiece.
yes...4500 DOMINATOR

Just waiting for my pistons now and I can get this engine together.
