Pistons installed.

Camshaft installed, new arp bolts, new retaining plate. LS2 Chain. Melling Oil Pump.

Front cover aligned.

Couldn't get rear cover aligned, stupid alignment tool is too big and won't fit between the crank and the engine stand, going to have to attach it to a hoist and take it off the stand.

Started also working on the rockers, going to get the Straub trunnion upgrade kit installed.

Got little ahead of myself, lifter preload is too high.

With 7.4 pushrods, I get

With compcam checker at 11.5 turns I get.

So, looks like I need to order some 7.375 pushrods.

Anyone want to buy new compcam 7.4 chromoly ones? Brand new.

Painted the block and installed the crank, torqued the mains.

I did notice some damage to the block oil pan sealing surface. I have one deep scratch and one smaller one. How should I handle it? Not sure if gasket by itself will fill that gap. Should I put a dab of RTV in those spots?

00 stamp helps with main install. 1_4 on 00 side number five opposite.

Isnt .002 on the thrust a lil tight? I always shoot for around .004-.006

I dont use a dial inficator to measure pushrod length. I use tool to get zero lash and add my preload for final length. Seems easiest way to do it.
