Motor looks mean dude!
I drilled out the knuckle and used a 9/16" bolt.

Thanks. Pretty good progress today...got the converter and trans in, along with the tcase and rear driveshaft. Also got the intake on. I forgot how much of a pain those intake stud bolts are.

I plan to change the gauge on the fuel regulator to face the front...going at the side didnt quite work out as well as I wanted it to.

Also put the truck down on the coilovers for the first time with the engine and trans in it...it sits a little lower than I would like actually. Right now I have a 6" 1000lb spring with no preload. I plan on swapping my 7" 1000lb springs on and loading them about half an inch to put it back in the middle of the shocks range. If I need to I might have to go to some 1200lb springs, but the 1000s seemed like a good starting point. I can bottom them out jumping on the bumper so why I need to raise the front some....or I could try that stud conversion mount I posted about...The rear is still on jack stands which makes the pic somewhat deceiving.

The build looks great man. I've got to ask. What benefit do the heims give for the tie rods? Were the stock ones binding? I also love the coil over swap. I'd love to see people get serious with the suspension on these trucks and educate me.

Well for one they are much stronger amd wont break on a hard launch. They should also prevent the tires from toeing in hard on a launch thereby keeping the tire more firmly planted on the ground.
