Thank you! GMC has been in my family for 100 years, sort of a family tradition, haha. Plus I do prefer the GMC front end.
GMC > Chevy...lol
Sweet truck dude, glad you joined here, for some reason your truck keeps popping up on my Instagram's "Explore" window, I have a thing for Lowered 4x4 trucks Looking forward to seeing the progress. I'm also hoping to hit the track before snow, maybe I'll see you there depending on where you go.

Thanks!
Thanks, guys!
Wow.
Awesome truck. I'm usually not a fan of them quite so low... but I LOVE this.
You will have a 12 second truck on your hands without a doubt if you also add a converter. 14.4 stock is really gettin it. I know a tune alone would drop you into 13's, and a cam/converter combo is good for a second in a lot of cases.
I love that its a smaller very drivable cam. I'd love to see an idle clip and hear your impressions of power gains once its running again.
EDIT: Side note... how the F is this the first I'm hearing of the cadillac racing lifters... WTF. I need to look into those.

I have the part numbers written down somewhere for the lifters and the lifter guides, must be at work in my toolbox. I'll post them up when I find them!
Thanks!
Drop is:
4" DJM arms
2" McGaughy's spindle
7" McGaughy's flip kit
2" Belltech shackle
Traction control/stabilitrak off and 4 Blizzaks = RIOT.
Thanks! I had no idea there were so many actually bad *** trucks in Ontario.

So, tried to load an idle clip, you can barely hear anything. I'll have to do something different. I need to change up the exhaust quite a bit before I'll be happy with it anyways.
Anyways, here's the air setup on the truck, or the pictures that I have of it anyways.
I'm running two Slam RE-5 bags, a 2 gallon Firestone tank mounted to the outside of the right frame rail, four 3/8" Danz valves, and one Viair 380 compressor mounted to the second battery tray. Setup works amazing, I haven't met anything that this setup couldn't level out and get my box sides off the tires.

Could anyone point me in a direction of maybe a mild build thread of a new DI truck? Or some name brands to research in terms of stall converters, etc? I'd love to put a big nasty cam in this thing like some vette guys are doing but I want to make it worthwhile! Headwork, etc etc. Thanks!
Ps, pulled a dually the other night... truck took it like a damn champ, absolutely love this thing.

Thats where to start looking for converters. I'd go no looser than 3200 with plans to tow etc. As far as head work I'm not sure who is making the fastest progress there. I vote you keep the mild cam in there for a bit and let the dust settle before jumping on it... but I've always been a little conservative in that sense.

The cam will definitely stay for a while, I'm talking more a "long term" build, over the next couple years, just looking for somewhere to read up on DI and how it changes things vs. port fuel. I know Comp offers a lot of different high pressure pump cam lobe designs and I would like to read up on what/why, etc.
