Took a trip to the local track the other day, to make some slow passes, and on my 2nd run I heard a loud bang under the truck at the 1/8th. Instant heart attack moment and I pulled over. Oil pressure good, coolant temp good. No fluid behind me. So I slowly started moving forward and around 1000ft the fluid started and I immediately stopped. ATF everywhere.
Thought I broke the tcase chain because the truck still drove fine. Towed it home and came out Sunday to have a look. Found the governor cap was gone on the th350. I think I dodged a bullet.
That's awesome about the 10's man. I have enjoyed watching your build progress. I'd love to take a similar route someday. Sucks about the rear end but at least now it'll be able to handle all the power you're making. It always finds the weakest link. I'm sure you'll take that record, no problem.
Did it wheel hop, or just break out of no where? Probably for the better, the stock stuff only lasts so well because of the awd, lots of people dont realize how weak/small they really are until you start comparing.
