Intercooler back. Had to have some mounts welded on as well as a new outlet on the hot side. Started building a quick set of intercooler pipes. Tuning friday!

Damn near back to race ready.

New injectors, going from 80lb/hr high-z to 120lb/hr low-z

Out with the old... (they have 635 miles on them, old haha)

And all back together. Stil need to clean up some of that wiring around the MSD box, but other than that it's pretty good to go.

The holley stuff learning itself to the target AFR's.

Oh and I still need to install the starter that just arrived. My stock one doesn't like to work too well when it gets hot.

Video of the idle right out of the box. It's a little bit of a cheat because we used my buddies map from his Typhoon, so don't be mistaken. I'm not that good.

Got my boost controller put back in. Got a little creative with the mounting. I will get a solenoid and sensor soon and let the Holley control boost but this works for now. I leave for Streetcar Takeover this Friday.

So, I did not really update this thread, but here it is...

I dyno'd the truck on a 95 degree day and quickly ran into ignition troubles. I couldn't get the truck up into a healthy amount of timing without the knock sensor losing its mind and did not spend time on the dyno troubleshooting as I was in the way. Some 2000hp GTR needed to get on the rollers for tuning.

The truck made 428whp/452wtq at 23psi with bad ignition breakup and no timing. Here's a video:

The next day I sorted it out and was able to toss a set of colder plugs in. That allowed me to get it up to 20 degrees max timing, make the thing sing, make the knock sensor shut up completely and make power.

I'm guessing it jumped 40-50whp with those changes, maybe more.

I took it to the track that afternoon and immediately ran a 7.34 1/8 mile and got in trouble for going too fast. This was at 18psi.

It was a bracket racing night at PIR so I tried repeatedly to turn it down enough to run 7.50 or slower and try my hand at the Sportsman class. I was unsucessful. Dropping the boost to just wastegate (16psi) and turning the 2step down 1000rpm I managed to get it to a 7.49 and did not qualify. I made one more pass turning it up to what I thought would be 22psi or so just to make a get booted and go home pass. It only made about 17psi and ran a 7.38. Seemed strange but I headed home anyway.

It felt weird leaving the park, so on the freeway ramp I set my foot down and learned what I had done. Immediately shot up to 6000rpm, stayed there and didn't shift. Transmission is toast.

You just rewired ur truck, whats large pink wire for? I have it marked as a coil + so im assuming its the coil charge wire from the stock ecu.? Its the same size as the alt and fuse box power feed wires that go to the same connector..

and i know i read somewhere you didnt want to go with an electronic trans, but id just get a cheap trans control box and get a nice 4l60e from rpm, it would hold the power and wouldnt have to change driveshafts and everything else you would a 80e thats $$$
you will keep breaking a 700 with the amount of power ur making..

I'm pretty sure that was a coil +
I can check tonight when I get home.

I'll likely be doing a th350 whenever I do fix the thing. Maybe next year. Definitely wont rebuild the 700r4.

Checking never hurts i guess. Any idea where the coil gets its power source by chance? Just wondering where the wire goes to after the connector and i might be able to use it for something else..

Do you have this?
SyTy wiring schematic

I believe that wire gets power from the fuse panel. If not there its the alternator.

Thats the ecu plugs on that link im guessing. Im talking firewall plug, top pink wire in pic, i rem it going to coil plug, and you think it comes from the fuse box? Only place i could see it tied into would be the ign fuse no?
not saying you whould know but figured you might have some recent bias since you just did your truck and its been 4yrs since i took mine apart lol
have anymore schematics?
