first off, i bought this truck mainly for a project. i recently got into LS performance and seen the capabilities of these engines so i thought, what the heck. picked up the truck for 8500 bucks with 85k miles. then imediately put it in the garage and got to work on it. first was a set of pacesetter LTs, then a yank 3600 sst stall, backed by a RPM transmission stage 5 60e. while i was in there i installed a TCI flywheel and a 40k tru cool. i installed all this back in october and have been slowly making progress since. for this up comming weekend, i should have my stage II 243 landspeed heads back along with my ls7 lifters, arp head bolts, and all the gaskets. cam is a TSP custom grind..as for now, its just the waiting game on parts..heres a few pics..ill get some actual build pics this weekend..

The flexing isn't the main concern with flexplates. It's the fact that chevy hasn't made avoid one since the 70's. At about 250,000 miles they tend to break around the hub from simple starting of the truck. And good amounts of Hp+higher stall puts alot of force on that thin piece of metal.
In case you didn't know your truck is shiny
