Rolled the axle 100 yards up a hill to start mocking up mounts. Just need to figure out how exactly to set pinion angle and the rest is easy. Looks like at full droop I’ll have about 26” of length for shocks and at full compression they need to be around 13”. So 13ish” of travel with no bed intrusion.

Pretty stoked I got it under easy, having 4 wheels and tires under the truck just looks good and fills me full of energy to get working!

13 inches of shock travel is NO joke without a bed cut man. Nice.

I'm pretty happy with it especially since there are 7100s in sizes with 12" or 14" of travel that will fit perfectly. Just gotta figure out valving, I wouldn't mind getting these ordered sooner than later.

You’ve told me that site eleventeen times and yet I still couldn’t remember.

I sold the 6 lug method wheels today for $600, kinda sad it’s the only set of brand new wheels I’ve ever purchased and I remember having them in my shopping cart for weeks before I ordered them. Oh well $600 buys shocks and some other odds and ends as well as opening up shop space!

Tomorrow I’m getting up early to set pinion angle, tack everything together, then hopefully weld it all in including the tubes to the housing but, not the ladder bar mount because I’m going to do something different with the frame side and not sure exactly where the bar will attach.

It’s tacked but then I got distracted on a golf cart repair. Was also working on welding the shock mounts together with little pieces of plate. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll get it doneish.
