quick idea about the rubber hoses on the passenger side. I did 90* fitting out of the heater core and ran the two water hoses along the firewall and hidden in the passenger fender. It cleaned up the engine bay clutter and did not impact the heat system at all.

Got the intercooler pipes and pcm cover coated. Also got the nitrous hooked up. Changed it up from the 4150 plate to using a Nitrous Express SHO nozzle just before the throttle body. Nothing much new other than that. Waiting for the good e85 pumps to be up and running again. Then I’ll swap to a smaller pulley and stick it on our dyno.

You could always do braided hose on the connecting ends and aluminum tubing for all those hoses, you could really organize and clean things up that way. We're doing pretty much all the hoses on my dads 72 LS swapped truck this way.

Well, 2019 started out ROUGH lol. Well, started out ok, but then immediately got rough lol

Stuck the truck on our new MD-1100 and it made just over 1100hp at 20#

It was not safe however.First trip to the track and I torched the block, head gasket, and cylinder head, and exploded the radiator within 400'. Apparently I was a little too greedy with timing (about 10* too much)

But, not to be held down, I immediately got it back to the shop, got the motor pulled and on its way to the machine shop for a rebuild. Block and heads were repaired, tossed in some new bearings, rings, and head gaskets and slapped it back in the truck and put a bigger blower pulley on for a little less boost...only to lift a head and burn a plug on the first pass lol.

Did a compression test and it was still good. So pulled the head off, smooth combustion chamber and piston back out, threw a new head gasket on, was back in business.

I missed the drama for the first part of 2019, but saw you squeezed a 9 out recently on FB. Congrats.

So quick update. I ran my 9 finally. Got everything square away with the tune and went 9.89 at 139 at 12-13# and a 100shot. Everything looked great. I.e. plugs and data.

Didn’t change anything and went back to the track the following went and burnt a couple plugs bad enough the heads had to come off again. Got them fixed, again. Put it back together and noticed a couple holes that were dead. Like, no spark. Traced the issue back to my 2step. Has this been my problem all along? Maybe. Disconnected and haven’t had an issue since.

Got pretty busy this summer and didn’t get a chance to take it back to the track until last weekend. Finally accomplished my goal that I’ve had forever; to have a truck I could drive 2 hours to the track, bust off a 9 second pass and then drive it back home. Only got one test pass in because of how busy Streetcar Takeover was and made it count. Still running the 12-13# and a 100shot of nitrous. I did pull an additional 3° of timing from my previous pass because I was still leery of blowing this thing up out of the blue lol
