The truck is running after the LSXRT swap. I'm trying to schedule a dyno tune with Patrick G later this week.

My first impression is how much quieter the engine sounds. The exhaust is still loud (dual 3" straightpipes), but standing in front of the car is much quieter. Also, the sound from the air intake is quite a bit louder.

Even without a re-tune, I can tell that I have gained hp/tq across the board. Pushing to 6k this thing absolutely screams! I've never heard anything like it...

Stay tuned!

Glad you are liking the intake, like has been mentioned though there's been more than a few problems with those things. Id never consider running one. Cool project overall though.

I love the build and write-up. I have a LS1 block I would like to throw a 4" crank in and put in my Tahoe for a similar build up. I probably would not have chosen a LSXRT for the application though. I am interested in seeing the low rpm torque of this setup.

No love for the LSXRT, haha! We'll see how it goes with the tuning.

I've updated the end of post 16 with more pictures, I'm not worried about any vacuum leaks.

Post #1 updated with pictures of the magnum daily driver. Amazing car, the only thing that sucks about it is the 5-speed slush-box....

wow, amazing amount of detail & documentation you went through!
looks like a great build & i'm excited to see how it turns out. now that i'm married & have pretty much gave up on my 416LS3 plans for the car, i've been considering honing/stroking my LS1 block to a 383 with my bower. my goal was a bit more top end with the extra LS3 bore, but i'll take what i can get (if i can eventually do it, that is ). how's yours feel up at 6000? i know it was pretty limited by the LM7 intake/TB before, but it should do much better soon.

How did the tsp headers fit with the 4wd? Nice build!
