Putting my e85 sensor on and I think I have been running my truck fuel lines backwards. The line coming from fuel filter should it go as your feed or return?

Nevermind I have figured it out. F..k I have been running my return line at feed and feed as return. Not sure how that is possible but glad I found out now. The return was plumed into my regulator. I had a buddy help me when o was building this and I bet they got switched. Because I ordered all 6an fittings and I cut what I thought was feed and the fittings were too big. Now I see why they are, I cut my return when I shouldn’t have. So now I need to cut the actual feed line install my sensor as it should. But have to order hose and fittings to fix my return line 5an. At this point I may just cut them back a little more and run nice hose up to both. Make my screw up worth while and look decent….hope that makes sense ugh!!

It's feed on my truck, definitely 3/8" from tank to fuel filter on frame, then continuing on up to rail.

Ah just a moment to late... that's why I plan to run a new line by itself and just remove or cap off the old lines (plus I need to bypass the stock filter). I may go for -8 feed too, just in case lol.

Mine is on the return line straight off the regulator. It’s a 6an fitting and I’m running 8an feed so the sensor would be a restriction on feed line.

I heard it doesn’t matter on placement but you bring up a good thought on the sensor being a restriction to feed line.
I will probably keep them the sizes they are just replace with better hose compared to stock lines. I have ID850 injectors so I don’t think the lines will be restriction. Hopefully not!

On the return line the sensor gets the fuel data before you start it.
