The buyer cannot get screwed if going through the proper channels. But yes that is the gamble.

 

If you are still looking for rods the gentleman I just sold my dis-assembled lq9 shortblock to I believe is going with a forged rod over the Gen4 w/ARP’s that were in it.

Long time since last update, lots of things going on. So been mainly buying parts. I have all the parts needed except for the ones below. Sent my block off to machine shop last week so we will see what they have to say about the seized cam bearing and the rest of the block. Once they finish I will buy the pistons they recommend mahle. I have been doing some electrical clean up while the engine is out. I would like to clean and strip the frame of that wax but dont think I have the setup or time for that. Would rather get everything back in to drive on nice days

Parts left:
forged pistons
reservoir - trying to find a metal one that will fit in stock air box location
heat exchanger pump - cant decide on one
heat exchange - bought weaponx but parts delayed 20 days out
walboro fuel pump
new cam
maybe new clutch, not sure if stock will hold up on my t56
random stuff like gaskets, hoses, and things as I install it back in.

I keep going back and forth about stripping the frame and painting it. I have the facilities for the most part to do the job it is just the actually doing of the job I don’t want to do lol

 

I have been talking with atomic to tune my truck but never thought about him to fab up a tank. I will probably hit him up, thanks. @shakenfake ya thats my thoughts exactly, its a big job. If mine was a show truck then that might justify it or a frame up build. May just powerwash it to knock loose stuff off and call it a day haha.

 

I'm just biding my time for a frame up on my Silverado. Been very very patient and I am getting sick and tired of looking at my sad faded paint every time I walk past it.

 

Sounds like a paint job take precedence over frame make over haha

 

It would be an entire frame up rebuild. I mean might as well while I'm in there
