My builder was quoting me about 3500 for parts and all. LSA I would think would run almost 5k when you factor in parts and tune, but I am super novice on boosted apps. Also this will rarely hit the drag strip, mainly street and open roads. That is why I didnt put a auto back in it.

Things got sidetracked by moving into a new home that came with lots of work on the property and shop. I called my engine builder and he has gone up 1000 dollars on what work I wanted done. With that said I am changing route and putting a LSA blower on my truck. At this point they are equal price about depending if I can find one decently priced. It crazy how much these have gone up in price due to popularity almost doubled. Also trying to get my shop insulated and walls up.

I have a good base for it with ls3 heads and front drive accessories. I just need to start collecting parts for it. Looking to switch to E85, we have a pump here that sales different types of race gas up to 110.

The bottom end is still stock and has the original 130k miles on it from the junkyard. Only thing I did was change bearings . Should I do a refresh on the bottom end?

You'd probably be alright but part of me thinks yeah go ahead and do a refresh just because. At least gap the rings and what not.

I was leaning to that as well, last thing i would want is put together and something small happen that turns into a headache. But I don’t need to buy forged internals for any reason?

Wow that was an interesting read, well for me but not so much the other person. It was like a bomb went off. So what I gathered there is keep stock crank, get forged rods at minimum and if I can forged pistons.

Wow that was a good read, well for me not so much him. It was like a bomb went off in his engine. So what I learn is stock crank ok, forged rods and pistons are needed. Or at minimum gen 4 rods? I don’t see how people use the adapter plates, if your going that far just put on the correct heads.
