I will try griots when I use all these up. I can’t bring myself to not use whole bottle of 105 ugh! Thanks for the suggestions guys, I am sure I will need more when I start my z71.

So I am about 70 percent done with one of my trucks and I hate M105. The cutting is great but that is all I can say, and I get a daily workout in. I ordered griots fast correction cream since it is for more moderate defects, instead of just correction. I wish I had read more reviews on M105 before I bought it haha.

For your test spot use like a medium cut pad with the Fast Correction Cream, then swap to a more aggressive pad if needed. Follow up with the least aggressive pad and M205.

I watched a Junkman2000 Youtube video that sold me on the BOSS system.

It's really long so cut in where he's actually using the compound.

Yea I was going to use the orange pad with the fast cutting since I already have three. I think there was a white pad that should be used for it but I dont need that aggressive approach like you mentioned. I will take a step approach for sure.

So I worked with the griots fast compound, and it’s night and day difference with meguiars. It just wipes off compared to meguiars where you have to scrub damn near. I will throw away rest of m105, question is does griots complete polish work just as good and wipe off easy? If so then I will retire m205 because you have to work hard on it as well to get it off.

You'll want the "Perfecting Cream" to replace the M205, It's part of the "BOSS" system. Perfecting Cream is all I use on my truck as I don't need a heavy cut like the Fast. The Griots BOSS "Finishing Sealant" has a small amount of cut if you want to follow up with something even finer. I've been thinking about trying some for a quick maintenance polish.

Save the M105 for stuff you can do by hand on a microfiber... like real deep scratches or rusty chrome parts.

You got a point to keep the meguiars, more than likely I will get the griots to replace m205. Thanks!

The last six months have been nothing short of rough times around here. But I think I am able to get back around to working on my truck. Right now I think I am at a crossroads of what I want the end result to be as far as the engine. Right now I have been running down issues like oil on my plugs , horrible stuttering, and backfire at idle. This was a used engine from a wreck with 146k miles on it so it might be times for a refresh. I should have done that to being with to be honest. I have a reputable build that will rebuild my engine if I decide to go that route. I would like to tickle the 500hp N/A goal if possible. Right now I am at 405hp. I have the below plans possibly. Any opinion welcome

plan one: leave the LS3 top end that I have and bore/stroke engine to 416/408. With forged internals, new cam. May switch from stock ls3 intake to holley, and get new headers from my 1 7/8 pacesetters.
plan two: same as above but sell my ls3 top end and use that money to refresh my 317 heads and get a tbss intake.

I have heard good and bad stories about lq9 strokers with ls3 top ends. Some get massive results and some are a flop. I think the cam choice is the catalyst that decides how good it will be. It will be another month or two before I start this so just doing my research.

Do a stock rebuild with a cam and use the money you were gonna put towards a 408 and get an LSA kit....best bang for your buck right there.

Have you browsed through "Tusky's Cookbook motor builds" thread over at Tech?
There are some good recipes for N/A builds.
