It should be impressive once you get it to actually put it to the pavement!

Looks AWESOME. I'm actually working on a very similar build. Still in the parts gathering and research stage...hoping to make it happen this fall/winter. I'm doing a 97 Sonoma with a 383 and T76 with a T56 behind it. I am also planning on doing the megasquirt (ms2extra tho) Already have an 8.5 rear built up for it, motor is done on the stand, trans is ready. Basically just need to finish buying parts for my fuel system, intercooler, radiator and stuff to build manifolds.

How was it wiring the MS into the factory wiring?? What did you do for gauges? How did you do your tuning?

Used a MS harness. Still not got actuall gauges. I just use the gauges cluster on the Laptop for now. Tuning wasnt bad at all. Street tuned for now. I have a good friend thats VERY familiar with Ms3 so i just let him take care of the initial tuning and school me on how to. Now that i have good cam and springs in there im gonna turn up the boost and throw the meth to it. Just gonna slowly work my way up on boost and timing till i feel satisfied. Then ill look at some dyno time to fine tune it when i want to squeeze every bit out of the set up. Just waiting on the tranny to get back right now. Its been 3 weeks now to fix his mistake. O well. Just a waiting game.

Got it all tuned in after the cam and springs install. Got the tranny back from the builder and installed. Hooked the Devil own meth injection up. Running 16psi at 16* right now on some 26x10 hoosiers i scored for free. Man this thing is wild. . . When it hooks up. 60mph roll its still layin posi's. So now on the the suspension.
Its on 4 lowering blocks in the rear with drop spindles up front. I took the bump stops out today and put about 120lb bucket of lead wheel weights in the bad up agaisnt the tailgate. Just to see if it would help. It helped, but very little. Still spins from 60 just not as violently as before. lol. I guess im gonna take the lowering blocks out tommorrow and cut em down about 2 inches or so. See if that will give me some more travel to squat. If that doesnt work then i guess im gonna have to break down and buy of build some cal-trac style system. I hate to add alot of weight to the truck to get it to hook. Any suggestions, or old school tricks to try?

Yea try stuffing a bigger tire under that thing hahaha . Your making some serious power for a truck that weighs around 3000-3200#.

I had some 295/50/15 on it and the BARELY clear. Ive got my eye on a set of 26x11.50 on craigslist right now. They should clear, surely i can get it to hook without tubbing it. Its been done i know, but damn. I dont see how. lol

While we wait. Heres another burnout vid for those that havent seen it. This was before the cam and springs were put in. Only on 8psi 13* timing.
