i did this conversion on a 2002 yukon 2wd to AWD i took all the parts off a burned escalade...everything is pretty much the same the only parts i used were the axles, wheel hubs, front diff, transfer case and tranny, i used the crossmembers but had to modify the frame cause 2wd and 4wd are different....also had to fab the mounts and brackets for front diff.

that swap was easy for you because tahoes sit on a torsion bar front end. his truck has coil sprung unless its a 2wd SS/vortec max/ some of those werid silverados that just came with it. if your frames good lets meet and trade cause i hate this torsion bar **** i want a coil sprung front.

All the Yukons/Tahoes/Suburbans have the same suspension whether they are 2wd or 4wd. Trucks arent like that.

True but even the truck front end suspensions are the same the only change is the rear end leaf spring on trucks.

Trucks also have the front end torsion bars same setup as SUV

Only the 4wds and 6.0 1500s. The rest are on coil springs

The 4wd trucks have torsion bars, and the HDs, SSs, Vortec Max, and VHO trucks.

Most 2wd trucks are coil sprung.

And since his is a 2000 its going to be coil sprung. Its completely different from the torsion bar trucks.
