Post 4.3 swap to 5.3 lsx engine

I have a 4.3 vortec in a 99 2 wheel drive Silverado i pulled the engine and trans to replace it with a 5.3 out of a 2000 4wd silverado same body style but the motor mounts are different is this because of the 5.3 being out of a 4wd or do i need to get a different model mount all in general the V6 mounts will not work either they bolt up but do not sit down correctly on both sides I need a little info about this cant find anything on the net Thanks Eric

You need to get the mounts to match the V8 version of your truck.

Not only will the motor mounts be different but the pin locations in the underhood fuse block(C2) connector and the engine to body harness (c100) will be in different locations in the connector if you use a 2000 wiring harness. If you can find a wiring harness for the 99 5.3 it should connect to the fuse block and engine to body harness without an issue. Just a thought.
