If you can, scan for TPS on your truck now. When I did my CAI and exhaust before the tune it was actually doing some crazy stuff with the TB and had to adjust driver demand a decent amount to get it to stay open the whole pass. Shoot me your email and I can send you my scan showing what I’m talking about. It was literally closing the TB down to 60ish%. Once I added 15% in the right areas it was a completely different truck as you would imagine. Truck def pulls MUCH harder after getting the engine tune dialed in after CAI and exhaust.

That very well can be happening but im leaving that up to New Era Performance to figure out. The new TCM arrived. I scheduled an appointment with the dealer for them to program it to my truck, then ill send it to HP tuners, then I'll get it tuned up.

The board is in play, pieces are set.

Sending back my Gator SR1 Tonneau cover for their reg low profile style. The SR1 fit nicely on the back of the truck but my buddy has the lower profile cover and its much more cleaner look.

Ordered 160 thermostat. Will also do the transmission free mod to keep the temps lower.

Turns out the dealer had an updated TCM file and loaded it on my original unit. Then they programmed the new one. My butt says there is a slightly fast shift while casually driving, it is not slipping the gear change as much with the latest version.

I sent my original TCM to HP Tuners yesterday.

Installed my Gator low profile tonneau. The stitching is def not as good as the higher end covers but this fits damn nice and I like the low pro look instead of the rails being on top of the bed rails. Decent water/weather protection with rubber trim.

They do. You need an internet connection to write the file, and for the TCM you have to mail it off to be unlocked by HPTuners.

Exactly. I bought another TCM while I sent mine to HP Tuners. Cant have any down time and it has the latest GM transmission tune on it. I should sell it to one of you guys.

Numbers are in.
Intake, Cat back untuned made 369hp and 401tq.
Tuned made 381hp and 420tq.

The torque line was great stock, then Mike put the works to it. Look at the low end improvement. I cant wait to get it to the track to see what it does. It was down pouring so the track was closed. I'll get you guys time slips asap.

So this was also my first "road trip" on the highway. New Era Performance is only about an hour from my house. I have been averaging ~20mpg each tank with my daily city and fun driving. I set the cruise to 65 and let it chug in V4 in the slow lane.

So I told Mike to keep DOD on LOL. He was like were you going down hill when you took that pic. Umm well I wasn't going downhill for 50 miles straight. LOL. The Pic is what it is, yes it sucks doing 65 when everyone else is doing 70+ but I wanted to see what it would do. This was UNTUNED also. Coming back, I was messing around with a Raptor that was scared to race and then my GPS must have known I had the Z71 package and brought me to a tractor path, so my pretty truck got little muddy.
