Thanks guys I'm always messin with something and I can't leave anything alone!!!!!!
The truck is just my daily driver and the 4.8 is SLLOOWWW and boring!!! I think this truck is gonna be alot of fun after the swap.
I pondered on the LS3 heads for a while.....They make great power but I still think the cathedral port heads flow great in smaller combinations. This was a budget build with lots of Low end torque in mind!!! I really believe that the smaller bore of the 6.0 versus the 6.2 hurts the flow of the LS3 heads(shrouding the valve)
If I were to build one of these motors with intent of really bringing it to life I would build a 408+ cube motor with LS3 aftermarket castings and a solid roller cam. Then throw it in something light!!!! In fact I'm thinking of selling the Nova and building something else. Anyone interested in it? She's a blast to drive. the vid's do it NO justice its a MONSTER
