Got the intake on and and injectors plugged woth the ev6 adapters. My 02 map sensor plug was Not a plug and play with tbss one.
So I put the stock 02 map in the place of the new one and rtv’d It in. Gonna make a bracket or something to hold it in.

I had to bend the fuel rail up a slight bit to fit the c5 regulator. Even still the fuel lines are at a sharp bend coming from trans tunnel up into the reg.

When I bought this intake it had a 1/2” port open right in the middle of it. Well I still needed a way to pipe the PCV back in so I grabbed a 5/16” stainless hose barb and epoxied it Into place. Now from the back of the driver valve cover I go into that barb, and from pass valve cover to TB.

The TB is sticking out further than the old one and I won’t be able to get an air intake tube on it with cutting the shroud, so gonna go ahead and do the efans too.

the two bolts that hold the the egr pipe flange on the exhaust broke off in the flange, so I drilled it. Weird angle over the fender behind the water pump, I made an uh oh and drilled into the manifold. Lucky I have a bunch of old truck manis hanging around. So have to swap that today too.

I always check my intake ports really really thourough before I put the intake back on. Even if your sure nothing fell, always check. I found a rock layin on top of the intake valve. After I had already vacuumed.

Two studs were broken off, just put the other manifold on and tightened the remaining 4 pretty good. Reused gasket. No leaks yet.

Well it’s been a year or so since I’ve updated this. Really hasn’t been much going on. Work, we had an addition to the family etc etc.

I did pick up an ‘02 rcsb with the lm7. Clean little truck. 240k with a brand new 60e. $2500. I really like this thing. Cut the exhaust off behind the cats and did a turn down right at the bed/cab line. 17-18 mpg cold air can’t beat it.

Anyhow, I finally started back on the truck after huntin season. Traded the H2/35s for a set of 18x10 Moto Metal 962s w/ 275/65/18 at3’s. Looking to sell or trade them. Also picked up a set of stockers 17” and put some half tread 295 mud claws on it. I like it better than the H2 setup by far.

I’m in the process now of putting a vs78/75 on it. I bought a cast manifold off amazon ($250) and threw it on the truck. It fits up good, the flange is straight and square. Only thing I really didn’t like was that the t4 flange sits really low almost flush with the inner fender well. Another issue is since the manifold is cast, the only places you can realistically add a gate is in the crossover or on the housing. I was gonna put it on the turbo but was kinda worried about the whole process of welding it on there. I’m not a bad welder, but not a good good one either. After talkin to a few people that weld by trade, and thinkin on it some, I thought up a little contraption to kill 2 birds one stone. I took some 1/4” flat stock and made two flanges. I used the t4 gasket as a template. Then put 5” of some 2” rectangle tubing in the middle. Now I can add a waste gate there and it also will sir the turbo higher on the engine bay.

I went ahead and deleted the ac, it had a good size leak somewhere and no Freon in it. So I canned the condenser, dryer and all the hard lines.

all that’s left is order a couple more vbands, band clamps, and some decapped injectors then all the orderin should be done.

I forget who it was but there was a company that made a similar flange for the Cummins to easily add a waste gate. Worked fairly decently from what I remember.

Well I bought this 3 bar map after researching it would plug n play with my ‘02 harness, and it doesn’t.

the three prong connectors are a little fat to slide into the male end off my harness. I could scrounger around and swap the harness plug or buy another 3 bar and just run a vacuum line to it, so as Soon as I Figure out what I want to do there, I’ll finish the crossover and throw my Walboro 450 in the tank. Instead of swapping to an ‘04 bigger bucket I’m gonna try to make the smaller 2002 bucket work, I figure with a single pump it should fit with a little modification. On pump 93 that pump should handle my goal of 5-600 tire. I thought about leaving the stock pump in place, and running a Hotwire kit to the 450 on a Hobbs switch. Would like it to open as soon as the loudvalve does around 4-5 psi.

Just been plugging along as I get time. Got the wastegate and loudvalve welded up. All that’s left for the hotside is finishing up a downpipe, and I’m gonna turn the wastegate toward the front and dump it right below the ac compressor. The crossover isn’t optimal, but I made what I had on hand work. Comes off the driver side as 2.5”, I reduced it and used some old 2 1/4” pipe I had layin around.

If it works it’s still ugly

I don’t think this motor will struggle to spool the 78/75, But I figured the 2 1/4 wouldn’t do anything but help it. I’d like it to come on quick. I’ve seen other similar builds and from what I can tell these lq’s will spin one up in a hurry.

Gonna do a 3” fender exit out of the loudvalve, then run a 3.5” downpipe and hook it back onto the stock exhaust. I tested the valve, it opens around 5lbs. Should be fairly quiet easing around town. Gonna jump on it hard this weekend, get the IC and piping done, and pull the heads to put ls9 gaskets in it.

You might melt the baffles in the actuator with it that close to the turbo
