Lightbulb 2000 Silverado RCSB 2WD LS6 4l80 SWAP/BUILD

New to the forum, just starting my 00 rcsb 2wd build, currently a roller set up for ls based motor and 4l80 trans, i have already sourced the LS6 powerplant in good running condition with perfect compression plan to leave it 100% stock with the exception of speed engineering lt 1 3/4 headers (due to my mistake when i placed the order thinking they were the 1 7/8 lts and for the 60 alone in shipping to send them back and forth ill deal for now) as well as fresh rebuild 4l80 from 2004 express van. Cleaned everything up thus far, re sealed entire engine new main covers all delco goods. Purchased all new hardware because im a nut about oem hardware, thanks GM Performance for all the help tracking down part numbers(no one likes a hex head smooshed into a lock/flat washer. As far as the 4L80 goes, gave it a steam clean removed tail for inspection and reseal. replaced speed sensors and hardware with oem. tracked down oem part numbers for correct converter and flywheel bolts. reusing the stock 4L80 fly and torque from the express van as it has a correct spacer attached and both are new already. fresh paint , new diptube/indicator all oem. I Should have it dropped in this week, choosing to do this at home rather than my shop is proving to be a terrible idea lol figured it would give me more time when i am free and it has not. ill add some photos as i go along. If anyone is doing a similar build feel free to chime in! Also if anyone is looking for current gm part numbers for any of the engine/transmssion hardware i have it all down to the tail shaft housing bolts. (like i said im a nut for oem hardware, that all started when i didnt want to run the bell bolts that are studded on the end to secure various bits as well as wanting to the swap to look stock/factory. Thanks everyone in advance!

Don't feel bad about the headers. I went back and forth reading on them and for most builds it seemed like the smaller primaries we're as good if not better for the vehicle. Make sure to upload some pics!

After a little research, i found similar statements regarding 3/4 vs 7/8 thanks! I truly do not plan to mod the engine as far as internals go. May want to go to a kooks or american racing down the line anyway!

yeah, those headers are good until you go supercharge it or add some sauce & actually start flowing a lot more air.

i actually just read a great write up (on svtperformance oddly) guy did dyno testing 4 hours apart on a C6 running a procharger. First with 1 3/4 then 1 7/8 both lts, and yielded nearly the same results, gaining minuscule torque in the higher rmp range for a brief moment, overlapping eachother on the charts the entire run. I was surprised with it running f.i gains were nothing to boast. not so upset with my shoddy order placement on the S.E 1 3/4's.
