Getting there.started tearing it apart Sunday afternoon..wire brushing the frame and painting it now..new calipers, rotors, pads and soft brake lines (same as the front) are on the way for the rear end also as I'm keeping the 10 bolt. New hubs also going on the front. Pretty much everything is going to be brand new.

Suprisngly only broke one bolt and that was the one that holds the brake line junction on to the rear end..everything else came off pretty decent. Think i saved 100 lbs from dirt and rust falling off lol..

working on cleaning up the frame in the rear and painting everything..got the front frame cleaned and painted..its not perfect, but its fine for this truck..i would be in the garage for weeks trying to get it completely clean and smooth..

got some work to do in the next few days putting everything back on..hopefully tomorrow i get the rear frame painted, front end parts all on and get started on putting the rear back together..

Making sure I have everything in order..the rest of the lowering kit should be here tomorrow..been battling with FedEX on getting it delived..they put signature required on the packages and i work 8-5 so i cant be home to sign or drive 30 miles to pick it up..pain in the ***

Nah no level on this one.was gonna be a big lift with some nice wheels, but i want something that drives nice...gonna be a fast, good cornering ride..ill save the level for the new truck this fall hopefully..

got some more work done tonight. Got the rest of the frame painted up. Got the hats on the rotors painted, along with a few other parts..got the rest of the steering off (pitman and idler arm and bracket) so now its just time to start putting it all together..waiting on my upper arms to come in and gotta do the notch. Getting closer

^^ This. This is a steal of a deal.

Great progress. Hoping to find a good project like this once I get my NNBS back together and sold.

Keep the updates coming.

ya i really could not pass it up. Hopefully have it back on the road by next weekend. Trying to decide what to do next, if I should get the body work taken care of and pick up some wheels and just drive it for this summer, and build a motor over the winter..or the other way around. Kind of waiting to see what happens with my job..graduated in May after doing a coop where im at now, so im hired on until the fall and hopefully they are creating another mech engineering spot for me in the fall..if that happen, motor plans may be changed (in a good way)
