I have a problem where every 6.0 block I end up with has trashed bearings...we're on number 3 so far. Unfortunately the most recent one wasn't noticed until the truck was already torn apart. Said **** it and getting it rebuilt. That leaves me in machine shop prison for god knows how long. For some reason I don't know if it's just maryland but every god damn machine shop owner thinks they are the second coming of christ and wants a ******* year and your first born child for even the most simple work.

This is pissing me off, this is probably gonna be for sale cheap when it's done cause i want a escalade on big rapper wheels pretty bad

Bearings are only bad if you look at them lol.

Like cam bearings, they are always "bad" but if you never inspect them and toss the cam in there, they were perfectly fine.

I wasn't clear; the cam bearings are coming out WITH the cam on these motors. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that's not good.

I had the same thing happen, The gouges in the bearing and cam were incredibly deep

Alright so dude that was working on the truck came across a deal where a shop was going out of business and he bought a couple cars and a few motors from them. One of them was a MINT looking lq9 that was sitting there for a few years apparently. Pulled the heads off and it looked great, pulled oil pan off and looked even better. Said **** it im gonna run it. Go to swap cam in and surprise number 2 came out just like my other motor. At this point I threw a tantrum like a 2 year old and after I was done cleaning up all the **** I threw everywhere I dropped it off at a machine shop for a rebuild.

Truck is running, 400 miles on it so far almost done breaking it in. Can't go full romp yet but this thing is pretty ******* fast. The 4l80e is SO ******* BUTTER I love it. Maybe its just the ptc idk, I love it so far

All work done by KBK garage in owings maryland, he does random builds and alot of truck turbo kits too so if you guys need one let me know I can get you hooked up so long as you aren't pressed for time.

Deceivingly mint lq9

You shouldve had that thing broken in within the first 50 miles!
