Hopefully not! All of the parts out back are to introduce anti-squat. It should pound the tire into the pavement at launch while preventing spring wrap. There are a few awesome videos on youtube showing how calvert style traction bars should work.

OP, are you worried about the upper coilover mount being at a slight angle from the angle of the shock body? I only ask because it seems like it could add some lateral stress on the mount. I wish parts like this were available when I was playing with fullsize trucks! looks fantastic IMO. I've been wanting to see someone try sliders on a fullsize since I ran a slider/monoleaf setup on a S10 I built. you've gone above and beyond what I've been wanting to see someone try. What tire setup do you plan to run at the track?

so the upper mount of the coilover has a nice little swivel deal and those mounts are welded all the way around. Lots of trucks running around with this setup and haven’t heard of any issues so not stressing it. Rear tire will be depending on the scenario honestly. Still a ways away from that. Radials will probably go on it first.

Do you ever regret putting that money into the stock rear end and not buying a 9in? I don’t really see why it wouldn’t hold up but I figured I would ask since I’m about to go down the same route.

For the money it is probably cheaper to go with a 14 bolt NHT or just get a K2XX and convert it to work in your truck. Unless you are putting down massive torque amounts I just don't see the need for a 9".

I agree, but by the time you buy a locker, gears, axles, c-clip eliminators, diff cover with girdle and 15in brake conversion if needed, for a few more dollars more you could have a bolt in or narrowed 9in from QP. I’m pretty sure money isn’t really an issue with the OP, I would just like to hear his thoughts.

In my case a good friend of mine knows the people at QP very well and he has a hand full of vehicles that have a 9in and 35 spline axles so sharing center sections would be a nice bonus so that’s the direction he’s pushing but it’s extremely overkill for my 500hp truck.

You don’t need a 9” just have your existing one built properly and it will handle what you’re putting down.

I had to budget myself somewhere. It will get a 9” down the road for strength and weight. Right now a locker, fresh gears, and a cover will get me by. It’s part of the reason I did the rear suspension the way it did. Nothing is really tied to that rear so to speak other then the bolt thru perches. Which will just have to get another set down the road.

$1500 compared to $3000 is quite a large difference lol that is not a few more dollars.
