well i would start with the basics, air cleaner, straight pipe it and a chip...i would suggest DP Tuner for a good chip...they have the 7.3 down to a science...great people to deal with...

go to thedieselgarage.com, they have a lot of good info on powerstrokes!

All these are great. On mine I re-routed the crank case vent, but there are now some filter/catch can kits available. This will keep the oily blowby out of the intercooler and intake. Dptuner helped my mileage a lot. I also got good mileage with the canned SCT tunes. 4" exhaust helped a little, and I would look AFE on the intake. Check and see what rear gears are in the truck. 3.73's were perfect for me on stock 265/75/16's. Some of the 350's had lower ratios.

i dunno what gears are in it i know his mileage is horrible espescially whenpull his 24ft enclosed trailer with race car in it and then w/o the trailer its like 15 its a manual but his driving habits are good he'd had asked me way before i posted this and i told him 4" exhaust or straight pipe like u said and jakebrakeih, and a cai, and has far as tuning on these things i didnt know what to say as far as that i believe its an edge is wat he has

I would estimate around a mile per gallon or so increase on the highway, but more in the city and towing (with the 80hp econo tune). Check all the filters also, especially fuel and air.
