Is he getting robbed
I guy that works with me has a 03 or 05 f-250 diesel that he over heated! So he brought it to the ford dealership & they told him he has a blown head gasket,bearing r falling out the turbo & needs new water pump & fan clutch! Dealership said 6200.00 to do the job! Does this sound right r did they see him coming?

more than likely it is a head gasket but as far as all the other stuff i highly doubt it. water pumps usually go around 150k plus, but i had a friend of mines truck doing the same thing and it was just the head gaskets which at the time was covered under warranty by Ford. I would always get a second opinion from another shop that works on them, at the very least, it wont hurt!

Well he had ford do the work! Total price 6500 & something! It's back to running but the a/c doesn't work good & it went from around 17 mpg to 9 mpg! So he call them & said a/c not working proper & they said a/c was not mess with, but they to raise the cab to do heads! I told him to let them truck & tAke the 6500 & go buy something else lol
