As far as knock sensors, the truck knock sensor levels were very conservative. I cut and pasted knock sensor levels from a stock corvette tune from the hp tuners tune repository. The corvette tables were not as sensitive. Previous to that change, my knock sensors would cause timing to be pulled all the time. it was difficult to get consistent runs.

Can someone give me some advice on plug reading? The way I understand it now is, new plugs, minimal idle, burnout, 1/4 run and shut the engine off at the traps... then fight the lack of power brakes and steering from 110+ back onto the return road and pull a few plugs for inspection. Is this what you guys do? crazy!

yea, don't shut the engine off while going that fast. It can be rough on the trans.

I had a 125 wet shot on my Bone Stock 00 5.3 RCSB. Just had K&N cold air intake, with 1/2 to 1/4 tank of 93 octane, with 1 can of octane booster added on the way to the track so it could "mix" in good. Never had a problem...
