I understand what your sayin sprayed8 and I agree. However for whatever reason my motor loses power after 23 degrees and starts a little knock 1-2 deg. with anything above 23 maybe with some long tubes I could bump it up though
. I've also heard the same thing about the knock sensors but no sense in desensitising mine if it loses power anyway ya know.
It looks like a wet 100 shot will do the trick thanks for all the input!

yeah thats just how it goes sometimes i guess. i think 150 would be pushing it but as far as the motor is concerned 100 shot is fine, and 125 doesnt seem to cause any problems either, as long as you spray at or around 3K so as not to take any chances. good luck.

The reason your not making power past 23* is your knock sensors. When you get knock it retards the timing, hence the reason your losing power. Every engine is different though, in the winter I ran 23* at idle with 90 octane. Another place to look is your IAT's, I run a cut stock air box and in the winter my IAT's are never above 30-40* ( It's ******* cold up here) but even this time of the year they never get above 70*. I have a different timing table for every 10* of the outside air. This was all on a completely stock 5.3, factory intake tube all the way to the cats. I ran a 150 shot on it every weekend and wensdays (T/T at the track) but I pulled 2* for every 50 hp for a total of 6*. I would rather lose 5-10hp than blow an engine from being gready. Hope this helps

no dont go 200. go 100 or 125. i know a few people runnin 150 shots thru their stock bottom end ls motors. one of them is on a motor tune sprayin a 150 shot on top of all that timing. hes been runnin the same setup for 2 or 3 years now. no problems yet.

well messin around with some tuning I bumped up the timing to 27 deg. with no KR but im pretty confident it isnt making anymore power, so i put it back down to 23 this way I feel a little safer spraying a 125 maybe a 150 here or there at the track. speaking of going to the track...man I need to go soon. get a slip for this year havent been once yet

My Camaro runs best with 24-25* total timing at WOT. Using HPTuners and bumping it up to 28-30 degrees made absolutely no more power on dyno, or at dragstrip. I plan to spray the car very soon, and since I know that I get no KR at 30* naturally aspirated, I should easily be able to run my normal 24-25* total when sprayinga 100 shot or so.
