So youre just spraying the outside of the intercooler? Seems kind of silly IMO

i was actually at there booth at sema and they had a demonstration set up that they showed you how the c02 system worked. let me tell you it is no joke, everything that stuff touched and surrounding areas with in a couple inches turned white and frozen instantly.

Its started in the diesel market, but its branching out into gas engine performance stuff too.

Oh I didnt say it wouldnt work, the boiling point of CO2 is something like -100F, its just my opinion. How long would a typical bottle last spraying enough to make a significant (ie, worthwhile) difference? Any discussion of thermal stress cracks on the intercoolers being sprayed?

not sure how long a 10lb bottle would last , i guess it would depend on how fast you make it down the 1/4 lol but my guess would be probably the same as a good size n20 shot but not sure and would probably depend on how big your spray bar is too. intercooler spraying has been going on a long time it is nothing new to racing and i dont see there being any negative effects on the intercooler people been doing it for a long time

I havn't seen a lot of people talking about using the kits but to me it seems very effetive. I don't know why it isn't as popular as meth, or other types of charge cooling but for minimal cost it seems like a great idea.

air to water i better at the track when setup right , FACT

now i plan to do a system like this

the i/c to ice box/reservoir is always on or switched however you like , while the heat exchanger to reservoir is only used on the street on a switch .

two pumps , the line from my intercooler is 1" npt so i can run a nice fat hose to get iats down down ,

back in the day i logged 55* iats with a 3 gallon reservoir but it only lasted shortly ,a big 10 gallon minumum reservoir is needed after staging , this would be the reason for having both pumps on a switch so your saving your cold water for the water box and run . not continuously pumping warming water from the staging lanes which is a problem where i run .

looks like a good layout, did you put the heat exchanger in the back of the truck on that pic?

Atomic Co2 is for spraying on the the intercooler, Phantom those intercooler are hands down bad ass i was looking at them earlier.... Im going back and forth between a few meth nozzles which will give me around 120 octane with 93 in the tank and the added benifit of cooling or air to water which will be costly but i will still need a high octane gas to run high boost!

e85 phump

Swerve7rpm2000 Nov 30, 2011 08:47 PM

i have ran e85 and ran outta fuel at 8#'s of boost, i figured it would cost me around 2,500 for the fuel pump and injectors i would wanna run if i did goto e-85.... I love e-85 i will actually prolly end up running it again since this methanol injection kit is 100% concentrated and will take some strain off my current fuel system!
