Nitrous + Methanol
 

Ok guys...on a naturally aspirated 6.0 can you spray nitrous and methonal? I would of the top of my head guess not but im not the expert! If you can what are the restrictions to it and how would this be setup?

Sure, why not. I did it on SC application but same principals apply. Alky Control meth kit. You'll need to tune for that meth and then the nitrous since meth is a supplementary fuel.

I think it would make an interesting combination

I had a snow performance kit that I was going to put on a charged 6.0 and was looking forward to what it would do!
Now I want to put it on a naturally aspirated 6.0 and my buddy is using a 100 shot and I was suggesting to him to look into it!
I think it would be very interesting and something that not everyone is running!

I thought about doing a stand alone fuel system for my nitrous, and using meth instead of gas for the fuel side. Never really looked into it a whole lot, but I can't think of any downsides off the top of my head.

well I can say replacing gas with methanol will be pretty expensive...just for example I know snow performance sold 4 gallons for 35 dollars and the tech guy was saying that you could use windshield washer fluid if it was 25/2 or 50/2...i think don't qoute me exactly!

Why do you want to run meth?

You can run meth with your nitrous as a supplemental fuel source, just make sure you have a good tune for it. You will be able to pull less timing from the motor then without it. It will also reduce the chance of detonation. I just finished my setup. I am running the Snow gm maf stage 2 kit, with NX proton kit (75shot working my way up). So far its been great, WOT I run right around 12.2-12.on my AFR. By the way forgot to mention I also run 93oct from the pump.

By the way you can use the snow boost juice (helps with warranty on snow kit) but you can use -20 blue windshield wiper fluid mixed with heet gas treatment(yellow bottle), so either route you go your safe just read up on mixing your own cocktail.

I rarely see anyone spraying methanol on a nitrous setup. Pretty interesting topic.
