nitrous button
#4
It's a momentary on switch. Holding it down doesn't do anything. You might be able to use it to arm your nitrous system, but then you're giving up your tow/haul transmission programming in the PCM. I don't really think it's worth the tradeoff.

A momentary switch usualy stays closed if you hold it.
If you find the tow haul wire near the base of the colum it will be VERY easy. You splice the tow haul wire and install a new tow haul switch somewhere else in the truck. Use the TH switch to turn on your relay for the nitrous and wala.
I did this years ago with my probe and the O/D button. Window switches were not cheap and honestly 10 years ago I don't think they were used by much anyone besides the pros. For $100 bucks it is much nicer to have a window switch so that the nitrous practicaly runs it's self. You arm it and that is it. The window switch does basicaly everything from there.
If you want it on a button then as I explained it shouldn't be hard at all, just need to find the color and location of the TH wires.
