Default Nitrous and Boost on an 08 5.3 Sierra

I'm installing a Procharger with 8-9 lbs of boost on my truck next week. Other than that the engine is stock. What are my options for a nitrous kit on this setup? Can my engine handle any size shot of nitrous? Thanks.

Why not install the SC and play with it a while, get a feel for what your setup needs before juicing it?

to bad there wasnt a way to make anyone posting a new post in the nitrous sections read a FAQ on how much and what not and plates n everything first, then make em answer a quiz and not alow them to post in here till they get like 75% right. not bashing on the poster of this thread but damn theres alot of how much threads, this one is a reasonable question imo because it has boost involved also

Yeah I remember when I first posted a "how much nitrous" can i run with my boost and got laughed at.... well ok, nobody laughed at me but more than a few knowledgeable people thought it was doom for the 5.3L for sure. Since then a lot of guys are mixing boost n juice.
Get used to you setup, see how much boost you want "all time" and then add some squeeze for those special moments. Enjoy!

Hey, thanks for the replies. I did read the stickies but still did not have a good understanding. Also, I have searched for threads that talk about boost and nitrous but none of them were about centrifugal superchargers on new 5.3s. So I was simply looking for an answer to a specific question. I figured the answer would be you can't use nitrous while making that much boost without forged internals.

The reason I was thinking about nitrous is because I was simply looking at which mod I should install next and start planning for it. And since nitrous gives you a lot of horsepower for a relatively low money that seemed like the logical next step power adder.

get the thing installed, increase boost, fight high iat's, add larger intercooler, methanol, increase boost and THEN go for the capper. That's how I'd do it.
