Need sum advice
 

I have a o4 GMC Sierra ext cab with a 4.8L the mods ive done on it has been K&n intake, Shorty headers, flowmasters cut off short with a turndown, 4:10 gears, Eaton posi rear end and also Superchips tuner. ive been looking at adding Nitrous to it i dnt knw if my engine could take it? how much of a shot to use? and what kit to go with?or if i need to add other components so it wont wear out my engine. ive heard alot of negative things about Nos aswell.i am open to suggestions for other mods as well

Ditch the Superchips and get a real tune and it will be safe with all the proper N20 accessories. The motor can take 150+ but your drive train won't. The Eaton LSD is good for a lot of power but the stock trans isn't. I'd spray 100 and not look back.

Edit: you said you had an Eaton Posi rear, I was assuming you meant it was the aftermarket Eaton LSD unit. If it's the stock G80 it's in the same boat at the trans.

NOS is a brand But Nitrous is safe if done right, id pick up a plate kit and a window switch so that you only spray in certain RPMs, ditch the superchips and get a tune, yer tranny isnt going to like you at all, you also need to get colder spark plugs .. Use the search button at the top of the page or look threw the nitrous section theres tons of info on this . :)

In case anyone is confused by this, the most common nitrous plug people run is the an NGK TR6. You might have to order this one offline, since most parts stores only carry the stock temp TR55 plug.

haha ya i was wondering about how they feel about us always directing people away from hand helds when they are a sponsor lol..

For every guy we turn away from a hand held, 3 more idiots buy them.
So I'm sure theyre still making plenty of money.

My proof of this equation is the amount of people that have asked me if I've "chipped" my truck yet.

Maybe they just hang around for the dodge guys...
