Never herd anything bad about any of the sponsers but my money goes to harris speed works. Just happened to be who I bought an item from and they treated me great. Again not taking away from anyone else just letting you know what I would run with.
What times are you running right now? What are your mods? Just curious because it will help decide how you set your nitrous up. |

Just curious because it will help decide how you set your nitrous up. as fars as mods ive got 4.10s LTs no cats true duals ls1 fans intake tuned ss3600 converter and a lev2 performabuilt tranny and not yet installed is a TR-224 cam and btw i have a 4.8 |
nitrous be perfect on that 4.8!! give it some torque lol
|
You will want to watch how much you spray with such a high stall. Juice will raise your stall speed 500 ish rpm so that puts you into the 4000-4100 range. So you won't want to spray out of the hole I bet. I don't know how that will work spraying down the strip because it might open it back up. You need to get with someone who really nows how that stall will act with squeeze.
|
ya i didnt even notice your high stall. my blue truck would have been way quicker if it didnt have a 4k plus stall in it. nitrous is all about torque and grunting down out the hole. at the track where the traction is you want that thing to grunt out the hole and let it ride out.
|
I spray a 150 shot with my ss3600. I will say it right now that without some good slicks or drag radials, there is no point in spraying it at the track.
I like the setup, I think it runs very hard, I just don't have money to afford drag radials or slicks so I can't say what kind of times to expect. |

yeah if i do this im investing in a set of slicks on 15s and i allready have caltracs on my truck also.

Really the only adjustments you need are retard timing 2* per 50 shot, and make sure the A/F ratio is right(I have mine set around 11.7-12.0). With that said, I have close to $1000 into my nitrous setup to ensure it was as safe as possible. I would recommend doing at least the mandatory safety mods like tr6 plugs, window switch, fpss, etc. |

You need to find out if you can spray that converter before you get all nitrous happy. I love nitrous but you are probably going to need to drop the stall speed before you can spray. Slicks won't help, it isn't traction, it is the converter won't put down any power before it shifts.

nitrous outlet is awesome. they are my only source for nitrous parts and accessories. go ahead and spend a hair more and get the plate with the solenoids mounted directly on it. that should give you the best hit |

the stall will act perfect with the nitrous. im currently on a 3600 converter that was intended for nitrous. i can get the ass end squirly from a 60 roll on the 150 shot, and i am thinking about taking it in to have it turned into a 4,000 converter before the shot out of the hole.

I see your pause for concern, although very few people on this site are "overstalled." Believe me when I say it's traction. I cut a 2.9 spraying out of the hole with the 150 shot and another run when I hit it in 2nd it just spun. This was all on a 245 street tire. It will put the power to the ground just fine believe me. |
Sounds like you will be ok then. The people who have confidence in this converter do you understand this is an S10 not a full size truck? I can't say it won't work just makeing sure it will before he buys a kit installs it just to find he needs to change a converter to run it. Anyhow just making sure all bases are covered.

I am sorry I was thinking of a differant thread with the S-10. It is the 1500 in his sig. Weight matters with a converter. It effects the stall speed just like hp does.
|
yeah i have a 2wd 1500 rcsb
|
converter will be fine. end of story:)
|
what do you guys think about that nitrous kit that i posted from the nitrous outlet
|
