It depends on alot of factors really.
Renegade fuel tech said the 123 was too high of a octane for that setup and that I could possibly add timing instead of remove timing for the nitrous.
For a 5.3 112-116 would be plenty if your runnin 93 thru injectors and the race gas in a stand alone.
I dont think your gonna be able to put enough nitrous in a 5.3 to need too high of octane especially without a nitrous specific cam.
years ago we kept adding nitrous and eventually it would stop making power cause it couldn't consume anymore. For example a "400hp" motor might only be able to use 400 shot. Any more and it wouldn't gain anymore power.

Oh there will be ! Try to figure out the cam now just got the 823 head the other day so.. all the let take bottom back apart double check everything and just need to get cam kit lifters timing gear and gaskets then it’s time to start haul-assin
