Question 2011 Silverado 5.3 Nitrous

I've been reading this forum for some time and decided it finally time to join. Anyways I'm looking to add a small nitrous shot to my truck just to keep things interesting. I have done a ton of research but I still have a lot of questions. I realize I need to step down from the stock iridium plugs because they are too hot and I may need to pull a little timing. Also a window switch would be a good plus for safety because I wouldn't feel comfortable spraying between shifts. I'm just looking for any advice because I know a lot of trucks on here are on the bottle. Thanks in advance!

How big of a shot are you planning on running? And your transmission will be fine spraying through the shifts since it's got the 6 speed. NGK Br6 plugs are what a lot of the guys including myself have run on here for a colder plug.

Sorry for such a late response, tests got the best of me. But I plan on running a 50 or 75 shot. I also have had people tell me not to spray or it will be ok to spray between shifts, honestly I would not like to risk it but hey I'll probably change my mind.

If you plan no more than a 100 shot I'd run a dry shot. There's a spot on the air box that's almost like GM designed it for a dry nozzle. Easy to to use and most likely your truck will deal with the fuel and timing needs, so most likely no tune or very little is needed. Of coarse monitor it before you assume that but my '04 took care of it all. I can say tho, once you run a 100 you'll want to go bigger!
