Supercharged Ford V6
I have a 2004 Mazda B4000 with a Ford 4.0 V6 and a Magnuson X-Charger. It makes a noise like a squeaky belt but I think it is the charger. Any advice? There are some other modifications I would like to make too, but first I want to quiet the chatter under the hood.

Better now
I remembered that I should use high octane fuel. I had to save money and started using regular octane last summer. I put in a bottle of Lucas High Mileage Extreme Fuel System Cleaner and it instantly made a difference! I filled up with premium two days later and the noise is almost gone. I'm going to change the oil in the nosecone and put a smaller pulley on next and see how that helps.

If you cant afford premium on a regular basis, you definitely should not be modifying the truck further. If anything, sell the blower.
Running regular on a non intercooled, boosted motor is a recipe for disaster. You may have already hurt the engine depending on how bad its been hammered on.
My suggestions:
Colder plugs (run a comp test while doing the plugs)
change the oil in the blower
LEAVE IT ALONE
RUN PREMIUM (seriously, $4-10/tank was hurting you that bad?)
Look at options to tune it
no mods. fix whats going on first before that thing needs an engine (if it doesnt already)

Agree. Although I didn’t know the reasoning for premium fuel, but now I do. I don’t run it hard unless I need to for traffic. The engine sounds and runs perfect. Thank you for the info!

You can probably get by with 89 octane if you don't beat on it, unless it's a really aggressive tune. If it's not tuned at all that's what I'd do first.
If that's what your running 89 and it's making noise then obviously don't use it, if you get a tune for 91 I wouldn't run it less then that.
could also be crap gas you had in it.
